Life is far better when a
society values freedom over democracy, justice over peace, individual
merit over social equality, and individual liberty over collective
security. Ignorant, foolish, unprincipled, amoral societies which
pursue these secondary and lesser values eventually achieve neither
of them and deserve neither. Life is beautiful and wonderful
when a society’s goals and ideals are intellectually and morally
right. Rational, correct, perceptive, and noble goals and ideals
generate the highest levels of individual satisfaction, tranquility,
achievement, greatness, pleasure, and happiness, as well as social
cooperation, harmony, solidarity, unity, brotherhood, and bliss.
