The Fate of Man

 

When will mankind become rational? When will humans adopt a rational perspective and lifestyle, and then create a rational society and culture? Never. Never ever at all.

By 450 B.C. or so, the decently-educated Athenians and their leaders were fully aware that metaphysical perfection lie in realism and atheism. But they pretended to believe in mysticism and god anyway. By 1985 or so, the decently-educated Americans and their leaders were fully aware that political perfection lie in laissez-faire capitalism and libertarianism. But they pretended to believe in government interventionism and welfare statism anyway. The intellectual dishonesty and cowardice in both instances was large and effectively universal. And these absurd pantomimes and evil belief-systems persist all across Western Civilization to this day.

So mankind will never be rational or sensible. Human beings will never think or live in any kind of way which is normal, natural, healthy, or happy. People have made their choices and that is that. Never ever will they deal with their mortality and liberty in any kind of honorable or noble manner. Indeed, in their selected way of life, you can’t even call humanity decent, acceptable, or tolerable. People are essentially disgusting insects and noxious vermin. And they always will be.

The philosophy of liberalism was invented, or at least initiated, around 2600 years ago. But a fully liberal society, culture, and lifestyle have never emerged, nor has mankind even come close. And we never will. At best a few scattered, heroic, liberal individuals may somehow rise from the muck and mire. But they’ll have to live out their precarious existences hated and hunted by all. And the species of man will never create a rational or liberal nation. No such “shining city on a hill” will ever exist.

What will happen, instead, is mankind will soon be rightfully and blissfully extincted. All humans will die out. They’ll be replaced by a hybrid species of homo simians and computers. Finally a life form will emerge which is rational and liberal.
